The CDC leader, speaking via telephone from his base in Miami, Florida in the United States of America gave his full support to the CDC’s Executive Committee in accepting the resignation of the party’s former acting National Chairman, Mr. Josiah Sackie.

He pledged his support to the new acting National Chairman, Mrs. Geraldine Doe Sheriff, saying, “She is a reputable person who can move the CDC forward pending the holding of a National Convention.”

He said the CDC would strive from time to time to bring on board competent people who can make a difference in moving the country and the party forward for the good of all.

He stated that contrary to some detractors, a CDC government would give the Liberian People a good life and reconstruct the country properly.

On the relocation of the kendeja Culture Center for a businessman to build a Four-Star Hotel, Ambassador Weah said, “Madame Sirleaf should know better that it is not good to give up an educational and cultural center for the purpose of building a hotel.”

Ambassador Weah who came second during the 2005 Presidential and General elections said he is opposed to the relocation of Kendeja. “People should not allow others to give few dollars only to build a hotel. This is wrong,” he added.

He urged the students to take President Sirleaf to task for such a move especially at a time when Liberia needs to put more attention to the training of her human resources.

He argued that there are more land and beaches in Liberia to build hotels, saying, “Some people feel that Liberia belongs to them alone and not to all of its people.”

Ambassador Weah a former soccer legend vowed to prepare himself and return to the home to provide a leadership that would develop the Country.
